Open Water Diver
The PADI Open Water course consists of three elements.
- Self Study and Theory Lessons, online
- 8 Hours of pool time, so you are well prepared for the Open Water Dives
- 4 Open Water Dives, either with us or with a PADI centre abroad
We teach the course over two weekends the first in the classroom and pool, the second in open water.
We can also teach the pool sessions over 5 Monday evenings.
If you want to complete the open water dives, while you are on holiday for example, complete the theory and pool sessions here and use the referral system.
Course Prerequisites
- Aged 10 or over.
- No experience necessary!
- Check the PADI Medical Statement.

Our Open Water Course includes a total of 8 HOURS pool time with a PADI Instructor so that our students are better, safer and more confident divers when they move on to their open water training.

Open Water Diver 2
Having completed the Open Water Diver 1, you are now ready to start training in open water. All open water training is completed in drysuits, we want to prepare you for diving in British waters.

Whats next?Referral from another dive centre
If you are a referral student from another centre you will require two days Open Water after an initial pool session.

Upgrade From PADI Scuba Diver
If you are already a PADI SCUBA diver to upgrade to Open Water you will need one day in the pool and one day in Open Water. You can complete the theory and pool sessions with us and use the PADI referral scheme and complete your open water dives on holiday. If you don't have the PADI materials from your Scuba Diver course we can provide these as eLearning.
